For me, joining LSR Wellness is the culmination of decades of practicing medicine. I am thrilled to be part of a medical practice that encourages the doctor-patient relationship as the cornerstone of patient care.
I am energized by meeting new people and hearing their stories. When I was a college student at Tulane University, I was thinking of becoming either a social worker, psychologist, or a doctor. Ultimately, I chose to become a physician as I felt this career allowed me to incorporate all these areas, while at the same time enabling me to engage in a lifetime of learning.
When I started medical school at Jefferson, I found my passion in caring and fighting for the health of my patients. This passion led me to New York City where I trained in Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease, and Public Health. After I completed my fellowships, I spent two and half years in Haiti and Vietnam treating the local populations. It was an affirming experience that continues to shape my passion for providing care to my patients. It’s also where I met my husband, Didier, who was serving as a United Nations peacekeeper on behalf of the French government.
In 2013, Didier and I returned to Philadelphia with our 4-year-old son to be closer to family. I chose to do a fellowship in Geriatrics, following my passion for working with and supporting aging, older adults. For adults of all ages, I am committed to helping patients live their best lives.
As an additional note, and reflecting my passion for travel, I am a holder of a Certificate of Travel Health from the International Society of Travel Medicine. This is something that I hope to develop for our patients at LSR Wellness.
Outside of the practice of medicine, I enjoy yoga, going to museums and theater, and spending time with Didier and my son, Benjamin.
